  • Algar waterfalls

    Logo

If you are looking to escape the buzz of Benidorm for a while, this natural beauty spot high in the mountains north of Altea is just the ticket. Known as the Fuentes del Algar, the Falls are made up of spectacular water cascades, some up to 80 metres high, which gush down the mountainside into idyllic, crystal-clear pools surrounded by lichen-covered rocks. You can swim in the refreshing pools, showered by the falling water (remember to take your swimming togs) and stroll along the picturesque, oleander-fringed pathways that follow the river. When you've had your feel of the falls, there is a restaurant, bar and cactus garden nearby or you can enjoy a picnic in the designated areas whilst soaking up the lovely scenery.

  • Mundomar
